Hi, I’m Cat Johnston. I’m a writer, teacher, and lifelong reader who loves stories where magic collides with choice, love is complicated, and destiny doesn’t always get the final say. 

I write fantasy romance set in rich worlds that exist a step away from reality, where characters are shaped as much by their decisions as by prophecy. My debut novel, Shifting Destiny, introduces readers to Aconite Hollow, a place where fate is written in whispers and nothing is ever quite as it seems.

When I’m not writing, I teach high school English, read as many books as I can, play way too many video games, and juggle family life with creative projects. Storytelling has always been an important part of my life, whether on the page or in the classroom.
